The El Valle Burn Scar Open House invites the public to experience a wildfire landscape up close and see it through the eyes of artists and scientists. From 11 am to 3 pm, visitors can drive between three field stops, wander at their own pace, ask questions, take photographs, and explore the differences between treated and untreated forest, stand-replacing fire, and a landscape that may be transforming into something new. Like an artist studio tour, there is no formal agenda or lecture — just an open invitation to come look closely, talk with people who study and interpret change, and experience for yourself what fire leaves behind.
